DOHMH Family Health Suite - Brooklyn Gut Renovation of DOHMH Brownsville Clinic.
Challenges
M TO-PROS was engaged as the Construction Manager to coordinate with all the team members including Architect, contractor, H+H project management team, special inspector, and DOHMH personnel.
The project was a full gut renovation in an operating DOHMH clinic, involving coordination with the building as well as many levels of internal and external oversight.

Approach
- M-TO-Pros reviewed construction documents and worked hand in hand with the contractor and architect to address site conditions and obstacles as they arose.
- Provided site supervision and communication to project team through site reports and recording of all project meeting minutes through the life of the project.
- Interfaced with DOHMH facilities to arrange work in an occupied building that supported project schedule while adhering to building requirements.
- Provided assistance to H+H for GC contract negotiations and tracking of change orders.
- Monitored contractor to ensure completion of work and satisfactory punch list completion and close out.
Results
- The project was completed October 2019 with minimal punchlist through an anticipatory approach that ensured the client as well as all team members remained informed of cost implications of any changes as well as vigorous monitoring of schedule including long-lead items and satisfaction of DOHMH requests.
- The resulting brand new Family Health Suite boasts high-end finishes throughout as well as thoughtful and practical accommodation of staff and guest needs.
HHC Labor and Simulation Labs - Lincoln Hospital and Harlem Hospital
Challenges
M TO-PROS was engaged as the Project Manager to coordinate with all the team members including contractor, H+H, outside vendors and building personnel.
The project was to create a fully operational simulation lab for Labor and Delivery OBGYN teaching and training purposes inside two active hospitals.
Approach
- M TO-Pros worked hand in hand with the contractor to address site conditions and obstacles as they arose.
- Provided site supervision and communication to project team through site reports and recording of all project meeting minutes through the life of the project.
- Coordinated Electrical and AV requirements with contractor, building personnel and outside vendors to ensure proper operation of specialized medical equipment in the space.
- Provided value engineering solutions to keep the project within the strict budget.
